IDEA:

Festival gathering all people interested in different kinds of circus art and physical theatre. The project is based on juggling convention. We would like to invite all: beginners and professionals to come, create, play and perform together, eat vegetarian food, see exhibitions and listen to good live music. Workshops: juggling, pantomime, theatre, dance, acro-balance, trapeze, tissue, voice training, fire dance...
Workshops for children: circus and movement, puppet workshops
Shows: Open stage - Renegade, Gala show, Parade and shows in town, fire installation, fire shows
Other: concerts, exhibitions, camping side, gym, bar tent with bands, vegetarian food

Third edition of Middle European theatre and circus meeting follows the main ideas of the project that is to establish the place where many different people from all over the world going to exchange experiences and contacts with other enthusiasts and professionals in theatre and circus.
We want to gather people busy with physical theatre and circus in middle Europe. We would like to show variety and possibilities to work with body and objects. The idea of this year festival is to create a base for new performing art witch is a fusion between theatre, dance and circus. As representatives of new generation of circus we would like to search for the lines connecting new circus with traditional circus art. We would like to invite the representatives of old polish circus artist to join the festival and let us know about history of circus. We will also focus on connections between life of a circus people and Roma people. We believe that our ways have been meeting in the times of travelling circuses and we will try to discover if they meet now?On the first day except of workshops will take place open stage - renegade, where artists can present ready circus routines, parts of their shows, theatrical etudes, dance etc. or simply try to play for the public.
Performances, street shows, fire shows and concerts will take part in the main sqere in the city centre thru the hole second day of the event.
Next day as well as previous we plan to start with workshops session. and finish with Gala-show in BIG TOP where professional artists: actors, circus actors, showmen, jugglers, acrobats, mimes, clowns will perform.
The last day will include workshops, performances and open air cinema.
This day there will be special presentation of children that took part in kids workshop during the festival. There will be also performances for kids especially.

This is not a usual club act, but a collection of very new and different tricks. It is not only about throwing and catching, but about a research of characteristics of the object and how to use them. the result is a mix of juggling, object manipulation and contact juggling.The stage character is not too normal, either. Is he a young boy? An extraterrestrian? Or a wild tiger? You can never know what happens next!

Ç Front Of The Couch Č is a one-man body and juggling show wich deal with the subject of loneliness and Ç socially-correct Č in a funny way. Showing ironically the daily life of a supposedly weird man, this character become the inverted image of ours, (i.e. normal ), quite stupid too.
Actor Đ Juggler : Johan Swartvagher
Juggler for ten years, he met in 2004 Raymond Peyramaure, who taught him the art of body play. Johan is now essentially working with clubs. He tries to associate juggling with body play and dance, expecting a result as narrative as possible.

La Mula was created in March 2005 in Rosario, Argentine, with the desire to explore the slack rope's technical and dramatic potential from the perspective of a duet.
This project became an interesting and rich exchange, since each member brings a complementary outlook and approach thanks to their different backgrounds.
The place is remote and what happens there is a meeting.
Nobody has anything to do, but everyone is in a hurry.
Everything seems to have too much importance, but that's only an excuse to stay.
Ropes, feathers, umbrellas and balls are the pretexts to bother each other, to get in the other person's way.
A Desmano is the result of a life without sense, where there's nothing to lose but loneliness, and senselessness...
About the creative process
The creative process of Desmano united elements of the languages of theatre, circus, and dance. The movement and action sequences include circus techniques (slack rope, juggling) to enhance expression and narrative.

It is a short story about to persons, who know each other there whole lifes but miss eachother always. Technically we do combine theater with acrobatics, tumbling, manipulation and aerials (fix and swinging cradle, rope).

Absolwentki Państwowej Szkoły Sztuki Cyrkowej w Warszawie na specjalizacji z tańca akrobatycznego, liny pionowej i trapezu nisko zawieszonego (tanecznego). Doświadczenie zawodowe zdobywały występując na wielu imprezach okolicznościowych, czego efektem był wyjazd na kilkumiesięczny kontrakt zagraniczny. Wielokierunkowe kształcenie artystyczne, którym objęte były przez ostatnie 4 lata nauki, daje im teraz możliwość tworzenia pokazów w różnych stylach( nie tylko akrobatycznych, lecz także czysto tanecznych, w tym również charakterystycznych).
Tarantella show: Jest wynikiem 2- letniej pracy na specjalizacji. Łączy w sobie 3 gatunki sztuki cyrkowej: taniec akrobatyczny, linę pionową, trapez taneczny. Inspiracją do pokazu była włoska legenda o tarantyzmie, opowiadająca o uzdrawianiu poprzez taniec. W stworzeniu atmosfery pomaga podkład muzyczny, który w całości jest oryginalną muzyka ludową południowych Włoch.

Sylvia Idelberger is an aerial performer since 7 years. She is currently working and living in Amsterdam. On different aerial materials she is developing her own performances. Here at the juggling and circus festival in Wroclaw you will see her solo act on a TissueTrapeze. The TissueTrapeze is her own new invention and not seen before on European stages. As an artist Sylvia Idelberger is looking for a fantastic visual
mage in the performance. Feelings and theatrical moments get combined to make tight atmospheric pictures.

The fire theatre show "il dramatico" is a burlesque and funny story about the medieval busker group of "Edi Silvaner" .It's all about love, passion, rivalry and of course fire.
Edisius Silavner: " We are buskers; not to compare with a circus, cause a circus has a tent. We don't need this! Yes, sometimes at night it gets a little bit cold but therefore we have our fire: fire! that's our passion. Petroleum was our breats milk and flames are our every day bread"

Accommodation

On the festival camp there will be a camping side for all the people that want to stay for 3 days or a night. Please take all you need to camp (tents, sleeping bags... flashlights!)
There is a possibility to rent a room in one of the Hotels near by Olympic Stadium (tourist info in Wrocław)

Unfortunately you have to cross the whole city. keep going the direction Warsaw, stay on the road 8 head straightfoward onto Karkonoska, Wyścigowa, Ślężna, Dyrekcyjna, Pułaskiego. than you have to be a bit watchful. There's a big construction side in the center so ride is difficult. Follow detour (yellow diverted traffic). Stay on Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego pass the bridge (Most Pokoju), on the left you'll see the catedra and botanic garden on the second traffic-lights turn right into Sienkiewicza stay on to the end of road pass the bridge (Most Szczytnicki) turn right into Różyckiego - folow the tram-line, along the park stay on to the end of road you have arrived at your destination Olympic S tadium
